What is Equipment Pilates?

What time should I arrive before class?
We ask all participants to arrive 10-5 minutes before class starts.
Do I need grip socks?
Yes! Grip socks help keep you safe and the studio clean. Don’t worry if you forget yours—we have a selection available for purchase so you can still enjoy your class comfortably. Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming space for everyone!
How do I find the studio?

How often should I do Pilates?
We recommend practicing at least twice a week to see the best results. Regular classes help you build strength, flexibility, and a stronger mind-body connection—plus, our schedule makes it easy to fit Pilates into your week! Pilates

What should I bring to class?
You don’t need much! We do ask that everyone wears grip socks (don’t worry if you forget—we’ve got plenty for purchase at the studio). A water bottle is always a good idea to keep you feeling fresh, and some people like to bring a small towel too. All your extra bits and pieces—like keys, wallet, phone, and shoes—can be tucked safely away in our cubbies while you enjoy class.
What is the cancellation policy?
Because we have limited space, every spot counts! If you can’t make a class, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations will be charged the class fee. Do I need experience to join a class?
Not at all! Our classes are designed to welcome all levels, including those brand new to Pilates. You’ll be guided through each movement with clear instruction and options to move at your own pace.
If you’re currently working with an injury or have limited mobility, we recommend reaching out before joining so we
can help you find the best way to start safely and confidently.
What if I have an injury?
Injuries are all different, and to prioritize both your safety and the structure of our classes, we prefer to evaluate each case individually. Before signing up, please contact us directly by email to discuss your case and options. Our studio, in alignment with classical Pilates practice, does utilize modifications for individuals at varying levels of fitness. However, some limiting injuries may require more personalized attention outside the scope of group classes.
What if I am pregnant/postpartum?
We plan to offer prenatal and postpartum specific classes in the future! For now, please contact us directly by email to discuss and explore the best options for your practice. Waitlist Policy
If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. Should a spot become available, you will be automatically enrolled and notified via email or SMS. If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid automatic enrollment and use of your class credit. We recommend checking your email regularly to stay up-to-date on your waitlist status.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. While we don’t offer refunds for class packages or retail items, we’re happy to review any issues if an error occurred during your transaction. In some cases, account credits may be issued at the studio’s discretion.

We want every class to start smoothly and give everyone the best experience. Our doors close and lock at the scheduled start time, so we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early. Don’t worry—we’ve built in a 15-minute buffer between classes to help everyone arrive on time and settle in comfortably. Late arrivals unfortunately cannot be admitted once class has begun.

By attending The Gadsden Studio, you understand that Pilates involves physical activity and some inherent risks. As such, participants are asked to complete a liability waiver before their first class. You also agree to release The Gadsden Studio from any liability for injury, illness, or damage to personal property that may occur during classes.
Package Expiration
Class packages have an expiration date (e.g. 5 class equipment package expires in 60 days). Please use your class credits before they expire, as any unused credits cannot be carried over.
Instructor Substitution
Instructors may sometimes change, and a substitute might be provided without prior notice.
